Future tense用來表示尚未發生但預期即將發生的動作或事件，可分成兩類： 1）簡單未來式 Simple Future Tense：
be going to + Verb
預測某一件事即將發生 E.g. According to the weather report, it is going to be sunny tomorrow.
計劃短期內要進行的事情 E.g. I am going to play basketball.
will + Verb
向別人承諾、決定將來會做的事和意願 E.g. 1 : I will call you tonight. E.g. 2 : I won’t call you tonight. (won’t = will not)
將會做一個動作 E.g. Someone is knocking on the door. I will get it.
2）未來進行式 Future Progressive Tense：
will + be + Verb-ing
be + going + to be + Verb-ing
當一件將會發生的事在進行中的時候，會發生另外一件事 E.g. 1 : I will be eating dinner when she arrives tonight. 例子一中，「eating dinner」是將來發生的事，而在這件事進行中的時候，另外一件事「she arrives」會發生。 E.g. 2 : She will be studying for the exam when I go to the party tonight. 例子二中也是有兩件將來發生的事，包括「studying for the exam」和「go to the party」，當她進行「studying for the exam」這件事時，我「go to the party」這件事同時會發生。
未來某段時間會進行的事情 E.g. Please don’t come at 8:30 tonight. I am going to be watching the football match. 告訴別人今晚8時半正觀看球賽，而球賽是一個會進行一段時間的活動。
be + Verb-ing
對別人說明未來確定將來會發生的事 E.g. The train is leaving at 3:00 p.m.
